Words in Stars is designed to need none of your data, and it collects none.
Nothing. Words in Stars does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information. There is no account, no sign-in, and no analytics or tracking in this version of the app.
When you choose a photo to write on, it is read and processed entirely on your device to detect the stars in it. Your photos are never uploaded, never leave your iPhone, and are not stored by us. The images you export or share are created on-device and go only where you choose to send them.
If the app crashes, Apple may share anonymized, aggregated crash diagnostics with us through App Store Connect, but only if you have opted in to sharing diagnostics with developers in your iOS Settings. This data is provided by Apple, is not linked to your identity, and we use it solely to fix bugs. You can control it under Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements.
The app is rated 4+ and is safe for all ages. We do not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new effective date.
